About

It's your company and your call.

We read what the buyers in this market put in writing, and we publish what we found. Including the parts that couldn't be confirmed, and the parts that make our own position look worse.

Most buyers in this market publish almost nothing about the terms that decide the deal. A headcount, sometimes. A price band, occasionally. What happens to your rights afterwards, almost never. We went and read all of it anyway.

Who we are

Almost every page you'll find about selling company data is run by the company that wants to buy it, or by someone they pay. We're in the second group and we say so on every page. What makes us different isn't who pays us, it's what we're willing to publish: the thresholds that contradict each other, the clauses nobody discusses, and the figures we could not verify.

What we can tell you is what this looks like from the other side.

When we sold one of our brands, the diligence went straight at the operational layer. Every account, every CRM, the support tickets, the file structure, the lot. The parts that were organized were the parts we could actually hand over. The rest we talked our way through.

We had run that business for years without once thinking of that record as an asset. It was just how we worked. Knowing what we know now, we would have kept it. The record it was generating would be worth something today, and we gave it away without ever asking what it was.

That is the thing we would want someone to have told us. Most owners are not sitting on their day-to-day operations. They are sitting on years of historical operations, built up quietly the whole time, and nobody has ever suggested it has a value. It does, and it keeps accruing whether you are paying attention or not.

We are two operators, selling online since 2010. Multiple businesses and multiple exits across the years, from ecommerce to agencies to commercial real estate. We have worked with contract manufacturers, fulfilment houses, support teams, design and ad agencies, and been in the mix with all of them.

We don't take your data, we don't hold it, and we never see it. We don't produce valuations, and we won't tell you a number because nobody can before they've looked at your systems.
